Display homes are created to inspire people, and the outdoor space is often utilised as that extra room to enthuse viewers regarding indoor-outdoor living. To make this work the landscaping is paramount, but the design and selection of plants also needs to be in keeping with the styling of the house.
This house has a retro vibe so the planting was quite structured but playful, with plenty to keep the eyes engaged. The front garden utilises artificial turf to reduce the maintenance and water usage. A raised planter across the front of the house gives the plants an instant elevation and a feature bowl, filled with succulents, pops with colour against the neutral façade.

The rear boasts a firepit area beyond the alfresco framed with a timber gazebo. A large frangipani set to one corner will create a beautiful scented canopy over this space. Raised Corten planter boxes give instant height and the metal ties in with other styled features. The plant selection around this space has lots of interest playing with form, colour and texture and a couple of bold specimens hold their own under the structure.
A curvaceous lawn spreads across the rest of the back garden, bordered with assorted plantings. Mature planting is used to screen the side fencing. A lower hedging variety along the open back fence opens the view up to the golf course and adds to the sense of spaciousness.
